<strong>Brienne Abussi</strong> is a Clinical Nurse Consultant with the McGrath Foundation, specialising in metastatic breast cancer at Mater Cancer Care Centre in Brisbane. She holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Oncology Nursing and has over 11 years of experience working across a broad range of cancer care settings.<br />
Throughout her career, Brienne has worked in inpatient and outpatient oncology, haematology, dermatology, and cancer supportive care services, developing extensive expertise in the delivery of comprehensive, patient-centred cancer care. In her current role, she provides specialist clinical care, education, advocacy, and psychosocial support to individuals living with metastatic breast cancer and their families.<br />
Brienne is passionate about improving the experience and outcomes of people affected by cancer through evidence-based practice, multidisciplinary collaboration, and person-centred care. Her professional interests include metastatic breast cancer, supportive care, survivorship, and the unique contribution of specialist nurses in enhancing quality of life and supporting patients throughout their cancer journey.</p>

<p>Dr <strong>Angela Allen</strong> is a consultant radiation oncologist at Icon Cancer Centre Springfield, Icon Cancer Centre Ipswich and Icon Cancer Centre Auchenflower.<br />
Dr Allen graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) at The University of California at Santa Barbara in 2002. She completed her medical degree with honours at The University of Queensland in 2006. She undertook specialist training in radiation oncology at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne, Victoria and was awarded fellowship to the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR) in 2014.<br />
She worked as a radiation oncologist at the Waikato Hospital in Hamilton, New Zealand where she was actively involved in the teaching and mentoring of trainees in her role as Director of Training. As the clinical lead for the breast working group she gained experience in advanced radiotherapy techniques for breast cancer including deep inspiration breath hold.<br />
Dr Allen is a passionate patient advocate and is a member of the Media and Profile Committee for RANZCR, which promotes the Targeting Cancer campaign, an Australian and New Zealand initiative aimed at raising awareness and improving access to radiation therapy.<br />
Dr Allen believes in a patient-centred approach and is passionate about improving a patient’s experience during cancer treatment. She has been a consultant for Icon Cancer Centre Springfield since August 2016. Dr Allen has a wide scope of practice with special interests in breast, lung, prostate, skin and haematological malignancies.</p>

Associate Professor Caroline Baker is Head of Breast Surgery at <a href="https://www.svha.org.au/" rel="noopener" target="_blank">St Vincent&#8217;s Public Hospital</a> Melbourne, after having serving for 6 years as Director of Breast Services at the Olivia Newton John Cancer and Wellness Centre. She is also Chief Surgeon to <a href="https://www.breastscreen.org.au/" rel="noopener" target="_blank">St Vincent&#8217;s Breast Screen</a> . She gained her FRACS in 1994, then spent 5 years in The UK, subspecialising in the emerging field of breast surgery under the mentorship Mr. Mark Kissin and at The Royal Marsden Hospital in London.<br />
Caroline is a foundation member of BreastSurgANZ, a longterm member of the Australasian Society of Breast Diseases and has been a member of BCT/ANZBCTG since 1998. Caroline regularly teaches students, junior doctors and registrars through The University of Melbourne, lymphoedema practitioners, nurses and volunteers within the Breast Cancer Network of Australia. She has a special interest in neoadjuvant therapy, lymphedema prevention and multidisciplinary care.

Mr <strong>Peter Barry </strong>qualified from University of Sydney, Australia and obtained a Fellowship in Surgical Oncology in sarcoma, melanoma and breast cancer at The Royal Marsden from 2000–02. He now focuses on breast oncoplastic techniques and reconstructive options following cancer surgery as well as preventative surgery for high-risk women and has been a consultant surgeon at The Breast Unit, Royal Marsden since 2012. He introduced the chest wall perforator flap service for breast conservation and has led development of targeted axillary dissection. He has an interest in translational medicine with publications on tumour evolution and heterogeneity in breast cancer and also leads development and trialing of new devices in surgery. </div>

<strong>Mr Michael Boland</strong> completed his undergraduate training in University College Dublin in 2010 and completed Higher Surgical Training in Ireland in 2021. He undertook a competitively appointed TIG National Breast Oncoplastic Fellowship in Imperial College London in 2022, where he was subsequently appointed as a Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon. He commenced his post as a Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon in SVPH in Summer 2023.<br />
Areas of interest include oncoplastic treatment of breast cancer with a specific focus on breast conserving surgery with mammoplasty, partial/whole breast reconstruction as well as a special interest in the management of axillary disease.

<strong>Judy C. Boughey</strong>, M.D., is a breast surgeon and professor of surgery at Mayo Clinic. She is the program director of the breast surgical oncology fellowship at Mayo Clinic and is the immediate past-president of the American Society of Breast Surgeons and sits on the ASBrS Board of Directors. She is chair of the American College of Surgeons Clinical Research Program and a member of the American Surgical Association. Dr. Boughey is recognized with the distinction of the W.H. Odell Professorship in Individualized Medicine.<br />
Dr. Boughey has led multiple national clinical trials; ACOSOG Z1071 evaluating sentinel node surgery in node-positive breast cancer treated with neoadjuvant chemotherapy, ACOSOG Z11102 evaluating breast conservation in multiple ipsilateral breast tumors and ALLIANCE A11202 comparing axillary dissection to axillary radiation for node-positive disease after neoadjuvant chemotherapy. She is author of over 400 peer-reviewed papers.

Assoc Clinical Professor, Radiation Oncology, The University of Sydney.<br />
Dr Carroll currently works as a senior staff specialist who subspecialises in Breast and Haematological malignancies.<br />
Her clinical practise focuses on the management of patients with Breast cancer and Haematological malignancies. She co leads a dedicated research team based at RNSH/Sydney university that is focussed on using contemporary available technologies and with these developing breast planning models with class solutions with assistance of machine learning. The main aim is to optimise care by improving coverage of targets whilst simultaneously reducing side effects of radiotherapy. The clinical trials are offered in both Metropolitan and regional settings where her team work. The models developed are shared for the benefit of all and the aim is particularly to assist less well-resourced departments and has potential to assist low to middle income countries. Hypofractionation and patient shared decision making are also a common theme in her work.<br />
She is a board member for ASBD, member of BCT and collaborates internationally with colleagues from Breast ESTRO.

<p><strong> Peter Chin</strong> is the lead breast surgeon at Tauranga Hospital, New Zealand . He graduated from the University of Melbourne and gained post-fellowship experience at the Edinburgh Breast Unit. Peter is an executive director of the Australasian Society for Breast Disease, a member of the Oncoplastic subcommittee of BreastSurgANZ and is an honorary lecturer with the University of Auckland. He is a passionate teacher in Oncoplastic surgery, having convened several Oncoplastic workshops and contributed to the University of Sydney’s Breast course. Peter performs a wide range of Oncoplastic procedures including Therapeutic Mammaplasty, Perforator flaps, fat grafting, Implant-based as well as autologous Lat Dorsi Flap reconstruction.</p>

<strong>Dr. Javier Cortes</strong> received a degree in Medicine and Surgery from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in 1996. He continued his studies at the University of Navarra, specialising in Medical Oncology at the Clínica Universitaria de Navarra, where he continued as Assistant in the Department of Oncology from 2002. He was Associated Professor of Oncology in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Navarra during that period. Dr. Cortés was awarded the title of Doctor in Medical Oncology from the University of Navarra in 2002. Since 2003, he has worked in the Department of Medical Oncology at the Hospital Vall d&#8217; Hebron, Barcelona, where he is Coordinator of the Teaching and Training Programme for Residents in Oncology and Senior Specialist in the Area of Breast Cancer with a special interest in New Drugs Development. Dr. Cortés is Head of the Breast Cancer Unit and the Melanoma Unit.<br />
In addition, he has two masters’ degree: “Medical Direction and Clinical Management” by the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED) and “Research methodology in Health Sciences” by the Universidad Autonoma de Barcelona and a degree in “Statistics in Health Sciences” by the Universidad Autonoma de Barcelona.<br />
Dr. Cortes is the author of more than 100 publications, especially about breast tumours and new drugs and more than 250 communications at different conferences. He actively participates in the development of numerous national and international clinical investigations, especially in relation to drugs directed against molecular targets and new chemotherapy agents, and he is an ad hoc reviewer of various oncology journals.<br />
Dr Cortés is an active member of the Spanish, European, and American Societies of Medical Oncology (SEOM, ESMO, ASCO), a member of the Scientific Committee of the European Society of Medical Oncology and the Scientific Committee of SOLTI group.</div>
